FOX INTERVIEW

Tell us about your bike setup.
I ride my Trek top fuel with the 32 F-SERIES FIT Terralogic fork and a FLOAT RP23 shock. It's the best feeling to ride a bike.

What else is in your garage?
TREK Top Fuel, Trek Hardtail 9 Series, TREK Remedy 8, Cyclocross and Road Bikes Madone, 125cc Dirt Cross Bike.

What's your training regimen?
I plan and organisation my training self. I hera on my body and train after feeling.

Any major injuries, and how did you recover?
I had luck. I had only one big injury with my knee but with many patience and intention I came back.

What's your typical pre-race meal? Guilty pleasure?
Normaly I take a small breakfast with bread, honey and tea. Later, 3 or 4 hours before the start I eat a oatmeal.

What is your pre-race OCD behavior?
I to try to by easy and do not a lot. Only 20 minutes for preparation.

How do you determine which races to enter each year?
The World Cups, european- and worldchampionships are the most important races. I try to do all this races and then I look how races are good for the season.

What are some of your best memories?
My best memories are the U 23 World Championships in Livignio 2006 when I was 2nd and the World Cup in Champéry last year when I was 3rd and my brother Mathias 4th. And all the stages from the cape epic with my brother Mathias, particularly the stage wins.

What motivated you to start competing?
I want to win and want go give everything. I like to test my borders.

What separates you from other professional athletes?
I am very serious and with my brother I have everytime a competitor in my own family. We can push us thogether and can benefit from each other.

How does FOX Racing Shox contribute to your success?
FOX give me the chance to test and ride with the best fork and shocks and all this gives me security.

What would you be doing if you weren't a professional athlete?
I don’t know. I think another sport. I am a person how must doing everytime anything.

What's the best thing about being a professional athlete?
Everything. You are not "normal". You can travel a lot, see lot, learn a lot of people know and you are doing e good thing for your healty.

What other sports are you interested in?
In winter I love to go snow-shoeing.

Any advice to the readers dreaming to turn pro?
You must by very serious, motivated and work hard and must believe on your dreams.

How many hours a week are you on Facebook?
It's different. When I am on the road then I use it a lot but when I am at home a have not so many time for beeing in the internet.
