Tell us about your bike setup.
Trek Session 88 — the lightest and best race bike out there.
What else is in your garage?
A quab bike, Yamaha TTR, Chainsaw, jump bike, road bike and xc bike!
What's your training regimen?
All sorts depening on the time of the year, road, gym and fitness in winter, more sprints etc nearer the season and then trying to maintain it during the season.
Any major injuries, and how did you recover?
Dislocated shoulder, broken wrist, good surgeon and working really hard on my physio and rehab.
What's your typical pre-race meal? Guilty pleasure?
Nothing too big or rich, veg, salad, salmon and some pasat or coucous. Nutella.
What is your pre-race OCD behavior?
Just being organized with my kit, I have to sort it all out the night before so I don't stress in the morning!
How do you determine which races to enter each year?
Decided by the team and for some other I talk to me team and coach and decide what is best to help achieve my goals in the year.
What are some of your best memories?
Winning my first World Cup in Fort William 2002, witnessing Steve Peat win worlds! All the travelling I have done to so many amazing places.
What motivated you to get started racing?
My brother has started racing xc and encouraged me to have a go at a few slalom races.
What separates you from other professional athletes?
I don't know I am sure we all have a lot in common to end up being a pro athete!
How does FOX Racing Shox contribute to your success?
FOX gives me the best suspension I can have for my bike and gives me the smoothest ride and the best advanatge I can get over my competitors.
What would you be doing if you weren't a professional athlete?
Proabably a farmer.
What's the best thing about being a professional athlete?
Getting the chance to trave the world and ride my bike in so many amazing places.
What other sports are you interested in?
Netball, moto enduro, tennis.
Any advice to the readers dreaming to turn pro?
Put in the hard work and go for it.
How many hours a week are you on Facebook?
None. I am an anti-facebooker!
What are your favorite magazines and websites?
sport related ones or travel.
I love waking up to a blue sky day.
I want to win the world championships.
