FOX Racing Shox is there when “it” counts — what is “it” to you?
IT is the knowledge and expertise I get from FOX Racing Shox. Our relationship with FOX has allowed our team to go to the next level.
Tell us about your vehicle setup.
Trophy Truck: 6,000 lbs, 800 horsepower, over 2 feet of suspension travel. That pretty much sums it up!
What else is in your garage?
Road bicycle, full suspension mountain bike, and of course a Kegerator.
What's your training regimen?
Riding my road bike, playing basketball for cardio, and hydrating before every race.
Any major injuries, and how did you recover?
No major injuries while racing, only a hurt ego from time to time. That's racing!
What's your typical pre-race meal? Guilty pleasure?
Pre-race meal would be a banana/apple and a lot of water. I can't eat very much on race morning. Guilty Pleasure? Would have to be an awesome Burger!
What is your pre-race OCD behavior?
I'm often in my own world, visualizing every turn and thinking about what I will need to do in order to win the race.
How do you determine which races to enter each year?
Whichever ones draw the best competition.
What are some of your best memories?
Winning the Baja 1000 and Baja 500 sharing driving dutieswith my dad and pre-running with my grandfather.
What motivated you to get started racing?
My dad and grandfather. I grew up riding in these vehicles since I was 2 years old, so I was basically born into it and have been hooked ever since.
What separates you from other professional athletes?
My willingness to put in the hard work and effort that it takes to compete at this level of racing. Also, my attitude. I want to go racing to have fun first, and if we win, then great! If we don't win, well at least we had fun trying!
How does FOX Racing Shox contribute to your success?
They allow me to go through 4 feet deep holes at over 100 mph. Talk about crazy!
What would you be doing if you weren't a professional athlete?
I would be a Chef.
What's the best thing about being a professional athlete?
Having young kids look up to me. I was in their shoes not too long ago looking up to my heroes, and for me to be able to be someone else's hero is such an incredible feeling and satisfaction.

I love all sports, but I mainly follow basketball, golf and cycling.
