Air Volume Adjustment (AVA)

The compression ratio of an air spring system compares the starting air volume of the air spring (at full extension) to the ending air volume (shock at full bottom-out). This ratio between the two volumes determines the progressiveness at which the air spring builds the slope of the spring curve.

The AVA system is a feature that gives the rider the ability to fine tune the slope of the spring curve by changing the volume of air in the shock. Using the AVA system in conjunction with the air pressure adjustment, suspension performance can be optimized for the weight of the rider and type of riding.
