Hutchinson United Ride Mont Saint Anne World Cup
06.25.12 We just woke up after this great week of racing and it's time for us to reflect on the weekend.
We had 3 days of really hot and dry weather, everyone was excited by the practice sessions, dust, heat and speed that's how we like it! The Hannah's and Guillaume were stocked on the track, good vibes and felt fast. It was a bit different for Fabien who liked the track but was still struggling with arm pump. On friday it's qualifying time, Fabien's arms were to painful to have a fast run all the way down, he didn't qualify, Guillaume had a clean run and finished 68th, Mick crashed at the top and managed to qualify 33rd and Tracey ended up in 4th place. Only 2 days to go before the finals!
Saturday practice was just 2 hrs because of the xc race, it was in the rain and mud. Sunday the sun came out again and riders head up the hill for the finals! Tracey was the first one from the team to start, she had a very good top section, the made a few mistakes in the woods and then had to slow down because of her arms, she finished 7th.
It was Guillaume's turn, our Junior had a pretty good run, he placed 6th junior and 56th overall his best best result ever. Finally it was Mick's turn and after a chain break near the top he managed to keep his speed all the way down 7th at the first split he ended up in a great 15th position, the podium would been possible this week-end for Sick Mick.
We are now heading to Windham for the 5th round of World Cup 2012
