Domination of 2010 World Cup Season by FOX Racing Shox Athletes
World Cup titles taken by FOX Racing Shox athletes in mens DH, 4X, and U23 XC and womens XC, DH, and 4X.
FOX Racing Shox sponsored athletes owned the podium at the World Cup finals in Windham, NY this past weekend. A fitting end to an illustrious World Cup season that left FOX Racing Shox athletes on the top of the heap overall. Titles in both the mens and womens DH and 4X along with the womens XC and mens U23 XC titles were had, as well as a myriad of top-five finishes.
For the men, it was Gee Atherton taking his third World Cup win of the year and his first overall DH title. FOX Racing Shox riders Sam Blenkinsop and Aaron Gwin walked away with the third and fourth positions overall, respectively. Jared Graves had the 4X title sewn up coming into Windham and continued his dominance by winning the last stop in the series. Mathias Flueckiger reigned king in the under 23 class.
On the womens side, Catharine Pendrel took the XC win at Windham and first overall in the standings and fellow Luna teammate, Georgia Gould, took fourth overall. Owning the DH of the last stop was Rachel Atherton after sitting out the last two rounds with a shoulder injury. But, the overall title went to Sabrina Jonnier and second through fourth are: Emmeline Ragot, Tracy Moseley, and Floriane Pugin. In 4X, it was Anita Molcik on top with the title by a margin of just fifteen points.
