Anita Molcik Takes Podium In South Africa
04.27.11 The World Cup season 2011 started like the season 2010 ended, with a podium result. I got 5th at the Four Cross in Pietermartitzburg in South Africa. After qualification, where I got 2nd with a big mistake behind Anneke Beerten and in front of Kathy Curd, I was happy and motivated for the race. In my semifinal I had a perfect gate and got in leading position right from the start. Unfortunatly I got a bit too fast in a tricky corner and crashed. But I wasnt the only one slipping there, that did as well riders like the world champ Tomas Slavik or Roger Rinderknecht. So I got to the small final, where my gate was really good again and I could take the win and the 5th place. That is my 8th podium in a World Cup 4X in a row. So good qualifing, good gates, good track speed...Fort William can come!
