Happy 4th of July!!
Hope you all had a great day and took a some time to think about what it is all about. Besides fire works and hangin out at the lake. I want to give everyone an update on some amazing plans that are going on this summer and fall. Currently I am healing up from an ankle injury I suffered on June 1st while racing motocross in Brainerd, Ill be good to go in a few weeks. This will be just in time for a trip to San Diego, CA to meet up with the JHC HERO Racing team. For those of you that havent heard already, I am teaming up with them to race in the Baja 1000 this November down in Mexico (Americas most grueling offroad race). There will be 4 of us (all left leg amputees, Chris Ridgway, Jim Wazny and Mario Panagiotopoulos) switching off as we ride the 1200 mile race on a Honda CRF450X dirtbike. We have two goals as we run this race; first is to be the very first adaptive motorcycle team to finish the Baja 1000 in its 45 year history, and the second is to raise funds for the CAF (Challenged Athletes Foundation) to help underwrite prosthetic equipment, handcycles, sports chairs, competition support and mobility clinics around the world to get more physically challenged people back in the game of life.
This is going to be quite an adventure and will take a lot of prep work, money and determination to make it all come together! we are asking you to be part of this team and help make it the best it can be by donating and/or sponsoring us in this endeavor. You can check out the details at www.jhcheroracing.org , click on either the Donate tab or the Sponsor tab. I am truly honored to be part of something this big! I kid you not this is going to be one of our biggest challenges to date, 1200 miles through the deserts of the Baja Peninsula in Mexico. On a dirtbike alongside 140 mph trophy trucks, million dollar buggies and a handful of other race machines. I ask you to PLEASE check it out and help us make this bigger and better than ever! www.jhcheroracing.org - to learn more about the race, check out some clips from the movie Dust to Glory on YouTube.
Thank you for checking it out!!
