FOX athletes score victories in snowmobile racing around the world
Kody Kamm sweeps ISOC Pro-Lite in North Dakota; Tucker Hibbert bests the world in Russia to earn FIM Snowcross World Championship
03.12.12 No matter what side of the globe, when it comes to taming the most punishing snow-laden terrain, FOX athletes rise to the top time and time again.
FOX athlete Kody Kamm decimated his Pro-Lite competition during the International Series of Champions (ISOC) Fargo National snocross event in Fargo, N.D., with a clean-sweep performance on back-to-back days.
FOX athlete standout Tucker Hibbert claimed the FIM Snowcross World Championship on the other side of the globe, on frozen Russian soil.
The winning started across the Pacific during the final weekend of February where Hibbert captured the FIM World Championship crown in a snocross race of a different flavor.
In addition to longer tracks featuring more natural terrain than North American snocross tracks, FIM rules dont allow traction devices, and motos are considerably longer and more grueling. This was no matter for Hibbert, whose racing savvy, athletic fitness, and an acutely tuned, FOX-equipped race sled turned out to be the winning combination.
Stateside the following weekend, the performance of FOX shocks proved critical to the success of ISOC Pro-Lite rider and FOX athlete Kamm. Facing a wind-whipped track with a brutal mix of huge moguls, tight turn-backs and triple jumps, Kamm swept the Pro-Lite division clean both Friday and Saturday evenings.
Kamm, who has dominated the Pro-Lite class all season, was joined on the podium Saturday by FOX athlete Jake Scott, who finished third.
More FOX athletes claimed podium spots in the highly competitive Pro-Open class in Fargo as well. Hibbert snared the third place box during Fridays Pro-Open main event.
On Saturday, FOX athlete Robbie Malinoski backed up Hibberts podium with a matching third place finish. When the snow settled, the Fargo National weekend was marked with five podiums for FOX athletes.
Once again we proved just how adaptable FOX shocks are, said FOX Snowmobile Race Manager Rick Strobel. The shocks Hibbert used to win in Russia are the same high performance FOX shocks used to claim five podium spots in Fargo.
Next up for many FOX athletes is the Nielsen Enterprises Grand Finale ISOC Snocross event, March 16-18, in Lake Geneva, Wis.
