Tell us about your bike/vehicle setup.
I run 4 different bikes, my dirt jumper is set up with a Factory Series 32 831 100 FIT RCL and Super Light. My slope bike is set up with a Factory Series 32 831 100 FIT RCL also and light. My SX is equipped with a Factory Series 36 VAN 180 FIT RC2 and my demo 8 is running a Factory Series 40 203 FIT RC2.
What else is in your garage?
2 snowmobiles, 3 dirt bikes, 2 ATVs, a fishing boat, a lake boat, 6 other bikes, wakeboards, snowboards, skis, a small mini ramp for rainy days and a ton of tools and machinery.
What's your training regimen?
Ride, ride, ride and sometimes strap on a wetsuit and jump in a cold lake.
Any major injuries, and how did you recover?
Tons and recovery is very important since if not done properly things will haunt you. I let my physiotherapist set my recovery program.
What's your typical pre-race/event meal? Guilty pleasure?
Carbs, but make it a light meal.
How do you determine which races or events to enter each year?
It depends on how good the course is really.
What motivated you to get started professionally?
I am very competitive so it just came naturally. I saw riders doing contests and said hey I can do that.
What separates you from other professional athletes?
Motivation and work ethic.
What would you be doing if you weren't a professional athlete?
Turning wrenches and being a grease monkey.
What's the best thing about being a professional athlete?
Freedom
What other sports are you interested in?
All of the extreme action sports.
Any advice to the readers dreaming to turn pro?
Yah just keep having fun and if you work hard at something anything is possible.
