Having control on the trail and the ability to stick landings is paramount. That's how FOX helps me every day.
Tell us about your bike/vehicle setup.
My main bikes are the Specialized Demo 8 with a Factory Series 40 203 FIT RC2 and a Factory Series DHX RC4 shock, an SX trail with a Factory Series 36 TALAS 180 FIT RC2 and a Factory Series DHX RC4 shock, and my Enduro with a Factory Series 36 TALAS 160 FIT RLC with a Factory Series FLOAT RP23 shock.
What else is in your garage?
More mountain bikes! Also a Honda CRF 450x and a Ski Doo Rev 800. And lots and lots of tools.
What's your training regimen?
I'm on the extremely strict All-Sorts Training Regimen that includes riding my bike, strength training in the gym, and fishing for mental balance.
Any major injuries, and how did you recover?
Broken legs and arms, and random other skeletal fractures. Fishing helps recovery. Surfing too.
What's your typical pre-race/event meal? Guilty pleasure?
I like to eat a moose steak before I go filming.
What separates you from other professional athletes?
My career isn't based on race results. I guess it's a bit more creative, working with filmers and photographers. It could not be more fun.
What would you be doing if you weren't a professional athlete?
I think I would still be a confused college student.
What's the best thing about being a professional athlete?
I get to ride my bike every day.
What other sports are you interested in?
Skiing, surfing, and fishing.
Any advice to the readers dreaming to turn pro?
Just make sure you're always having fun, I think it really shows when people see you ride.
