Awesome performance in the suspension department makes for everything being easier.

Tell us about your bike/vehicle setup.
Geiser Bros Trophy Truck and FOX shocks, duh... nothing comes close.

What else is in your garage?
Bikes, desert motorcycles, and assorted Off-Road crud. I don't collect or mess with anything else because I just don't care.

What's your training regimen?
Moto a ton, jog in the desert to pre run, stairs instead of escalator and just starting to road bike.

Any major injuries, and how did you recover?
Lots of broken bones, over 40. One time I broke two bones in my right arm and 12 bones in my left wrist at the same time, not cool. None of them were. Toughest was three injuries on top of each other; broken humorous and dislocated shoulder while filming for FOX Terrafirma (they only used the crash shot) then when back on the bike I did my arms as mentioned above and got back on for the Anaheim SX that year and broke my tibial plateau and messed up my knee. I gained 25 lbs. in 3 years.

What's your typical pre-race/event meal? Guilty pleasure?

How do you determine which races or events to enter each year?
Biggest and most covered by media.

What motivated you to get started professionally?
My dad went to the Baja 1000 in 70' with Mickey Thompson and the next year he was racing it. He won it twice and my wife now has won it twice, I need to catch up with only 1 win!

What would you be doing if you weren't a professional athlete?
Marketing in the surf or moto industy.

What's the best thing about being a professional athlete?
Your work is everyone's dream!

What other sports are you interested in?
Riding waves was my first job.

Any advice to the readers dreaming to turn pro?
Never surrender the thought that you can achieve your dreams and goals.

Who is your hero?
My dad for sure. He is doing it his way and having a great time, an example for all of us. My wife, Heidi Steele a close second as she is so accomplished in business and racing that I am blown away... also the fact that she puts up with me is pretty amazing.
