How does FOX contribute to your success?
Well I would like to think that if you're trying to be the best, then you need to be riding the best! FOX products are exactly that!
Tell us about your best race or event and how it changed you.
I competed in Winter X Games and even though I haven't gotten a medal yet, it has been one of the greatest events I have ever done. Winter X Games have opened my eyes to all the opportunities I have and has taught me to work my hardest for what I want. That in itself IS GOLD!!!!!
Tell us about your bike/vehicle setup.
I ride Polaris Outlaw 525-S ATV's and Polaris IQ 600 Racer snowmobiles. All outfitted with FOX FLOAT X EVOL's! Love 'em!
What else is in your garage?
EVERYTHING! lol Several street bikes, mini bikes, Polaris rzr's, snowmobiles, tons of quads, and even an electric wheelchair! Oh, and I can't forget the ping pong and pool table!!!
What's your training regimen?
Lately I have been riding shows every weekend so when I'm home, I try to go to the gym every day and also ride the ramps as much as the weather will allow.
Any major injuries, and how did you recover?
The worst injury I ever had was when I was 15 years old. I broke both of my femurs and my pelvis all in one incident. I spent a few days in the hospital then a long time in my bed at home and then several more weeks in a wheelchair.
What's your typical pre-race/event meal? Guilty pleasure?
For the most part I like to just chill out and stay calm and maybe listen to some music. Guilty pleasure? BLACK OPS!
How do you determine which races or events to enter each year?
I like doing shows all over the place so most of the time I'm down for anything!
What motivated you to get started professionally?
I would say when I found out I could make a living riding, I mean, who wouldn't? I know I don't want a normal job anytime soon!
What separates you from other professional athletes?
I'm awesome! lol kidding... I would say that I'm more of a goof than most other riders, which is sometimes good and sometimes bad.
What would you be doing if you weren't a professional athlete?
Most likely just be going to college as I am not sure on what I want to do other than this.
What's the best thing about being a professional athlete?
Duh! Not having to work at Subway! I did that once and it was not fun...
What other sports are you interested in?
I like all extreme sports, but I would really like to start skydiving and base jumping.
Any advice to the readers dreaming to turn pro?
Don't ever give up! If you work harder than anyone else to be the best, then you'll probably be the best.
What are your favorite magazines and websites?
Google! It's got everything! haha. Also, Youtube, and Stumbleupon. Industry mags would be ATV Rider, Dirt Wheels, 4 Wheel Action, atvriders.com, atvscene.com etc.
Favorite movie quote?
"Perhaps you'd like a warm glass of SHUT THE HELL UP! See the name tag grandma? You're in my world now." - Happy Gilmore
Who is your hero?
Mom, dad, and my brother.
Are you a Mac or PC? Mac
