How does FOX contribute to your success?
FOX has always been there since day one. Always jumped for records and rode as a pro with FOX. It makes it much easier when you can count on a product to be there everytime it's called on.
Tell us about your bike/vehicle setup.
I mostly ride Polaris IQ/Bikeman Performance race sleds but I have some other sleds with FOX as well.
What else is in your garage?
A YZ 250, too many snowmobiles, and a Mercedes SL500 is about all I can fit. I need a bigger garage!
What's your training regimen?
Winter is ride ride ride. Summer is gym, hockey and dirtbike.
Any major injuries, and how did you recover?
Broken eye socket, cheek bone, nose, right ankle, left leg and left arm as well as a severe laceration to my face - right side, 170 stitches. Took me about 5 weeks before I rode again. Haha quick healer.
What's your typical pre-race/event meal? Guilty pleasure?
I try to eat some pasta or a solid high protein meal. I love homemade chocolate chip cookies.
What motivated you to get started professionally?
I was always planning on being a professional hockey player growing up. I made it for a short time. When it didn't quite work out I had to find another passion. Growing up in AK... the choice was easy.
What separates you from other professional athletes?
I would like to say my attitude and personality. What we do is fully a gift everyday and I try to treat it like one. I love the fans. They are the most important part of our sport. Without them we don't really have anything.
What would you be doing if you weren't a professional athlete?
Hockey player or brain surgeon
What's the best thing about being a professional athlete?
Getting up everyday loving what you do.
What other sports are you interested in?
MX, fly fishing, and hockey.
Any advice to the readers dreaming to turn pro?
Work hard and appreciate what you get to do.
What are your favorite magazines and websites?
I am a big RacerX fan.
Favorite movie quote?
"So I saw you from across the party" - Ron Burgandy
Who is your hero?
Anyone who has taken a chance and found success working their ass off to achieve a dream.
Are you a Mac or PC? PC but need a Mac
