Tell us about your best race or event and how it changed you.
My best race was the Best in the Desert Parker 425 in 2007. This was my first racing in the most elite series in what is known as one of the hardest races to finish. We podiumed the race in 3rd place as we fought with fuel vapor locking issues that caused us over 3 hours of down time. This showed us how fast we are in our Camburg built race truck and also showed us our whole team had what it would take to compete at the top level.

Tell us about your bike/vehicle setup.
Our setup is quite simple, we run FOX shocks!

What else is in your garage?
I drive a 2011 Ford F-150 with FOX 2.5 coil-overs and Camburg upper A-Arms. I also have a 500hp 4 seater buggy with FOX coil-overs and Bypass shocks in each corner.

What's your training regimen?
For training I ride a Felt road bike and work out at the HB Ultimate Training center under WEC Champion Razor Rob. I also have been surfing since I was 8 years old. These activities keep me in great shape.

Any major injuries, and how did you recover?
Only a few injuries over the years and both to my left knee.

What's your typical pre-race/event meal? Guilty pleasure?
My typical pre-race meal is a banana, water, and a protein bar. The night before the race I stay with chicken and a salad. When I am not racing I eat just about anything, my favorite food is Mexican.

How do you determine which races or events to enter each year?
Camburg Racing races the Best In The Desert because this is where the competition is.

What motivated you to get started professionally?
Off-Road racing is the ultimate proving ground for our Camburg suspension. We are racing in the Trophy Truck class and it does not get any more extreme than this. If our parts hold up to this abuse than they will hold up to anything.

What separates you from other professional athletes?
Camburg Engineering is one of the only factory teams racing in the desert. We have a state of the art facility with 8 welding bays, CNC machines and a full CAD department. We are capable of building anything. We also have a diverse crew with multiple championships and race wins. This gives us knowledge not many teams have.

What would you be doing if you weren't a professional athlete?
I would be working in a cubical rotting away. I will be racing my whole life.

What's the best thing about being a professional athlete?
The free stuff!

What other sports are you interested in?
I love surfing, snowboarding, and riding bikes, road, mountain, and MX.

Any advice to the readers dreaming to turn pro?
Just do it!

Who is your hero?
I have many heroes but none compare to God.
